Mortimer Hill Open Studios November 2018

Mortimer Hill Studios are fast becoming a lively hub of artistic activity. The artists will be opening their doors for three days in November, Friday 23, Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 November, 11 - 5 daily, with a late Opening with wine on Friday until 8.30.

Sadie Brockbank: Sculpture and Collage, Sue Bartlett: Wax Paintings, Johnathan Newey: Oil Paintings, Jason Leggett: Glass, Cathy Newell-Price: Jewellery, Annie Welch: Prints, Lorna Goldsmith: Textiles, and Larissa Johnson - The School of Jewellery and Craft.


Sadie will be running a two day workshop, 'Form and Finish' on Friday 1st February and Friday 15th February 2019 exploring the use of a paper pulp medium. Please click here for details.

'Inspired by Nature'

A Royal Society of Sculptors Exhibition at Grizedale Forest in Cumbria. Sadie Brockbank will be showing two sculptures alongside other members of the society. VJB Arts presents Sadie Brockbank and John Devane, Sculptor and Painter, at 10 Gresham Street, London, EC2V 7JD. Private View 20th September, 5.30pm - 8.00pm. RSVP vanessa@vjb-arts.com. From 20 September til late January 2019. The exhibition is open Monday to Friday 8.00am - 8.00pm.

'Alternative Routes'

October 2018 - Henley Fire Station Gallery, Henley on Thames. Four artists share this special space in the riverside town of Henley-on-Thames. Sadie will be exhibiting with painter Jenny Halstead www.jennyhalstead.co.uk, printmaker Joy Frey and textile artist Ariella Green www.ariellagreen.com. The exhibition will open on Thursday 11 October, with a PV at 6.30 - 9 that evening, and will subsequently be open from 10 - 4 until Tuesday 16 October.



Sadie Brockbank has worked with various Schools in the Berkshire area on creative projects, including a “Tree of Life” collage with the children of Mortimer St Johns, and talks to both GCSE and A level students a the Maiden Earley School in Reading. She has also run a pair of workshops for adults with Kirsten Jones of Barn Acre Gallery: "Working with wax with a view to bronze casting".
